MY EXPERIENCES in (CUSIT)

=>CITY UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (CUSIT)

:MY EXPERIENCES.

Having succeeded in Bachelor of Education (Bed.), I got admission in M.Ed; in City University in order to improve my qualifications.  I have been teaching in a private school for the last fifteen years. I wanted to apply new emerging insights, experiments and  techniques which have taken place  in education, during the course of teaching to the students in the class, hence I got admission in Master of Educations (M.Ed;). in the esteemed University.  It is an admitted fact that if we want to achieve progress and success in life we have to improve our education and more teaching system.  Government is also giving importance to higher institutions of education system in public as well as in private sector. The private sector indeed is playing a significant role in achievement of the desired goals.
I observed that City University of Science & Information Technology,(CUSIT) Peshawar  is one of the first private sector universities, chartered by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and recognized y the Higher Education Commission (HEC), permitted by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).   This University is an extension of Peshawar Model Educational Institutes (PMEI) which was founded in 1979 with an aim to impart quality education at an affordable cost.
Initially, a primary school was established by Muhammad Zahoor Sethi who is the Founder, comprising just one moderate campus with 300 students.  But in due course of time, the continuous efforts of highly qualified faculty and dedicated management, resulted in the establishment of nine separate school campuses, three Degree College campuses for boys and two Degree College campuses for girls, with a combined strength of over 21,000 students.
Recognizing the extraordinary reputation of PMEI in providing quality education from primary to bachelor level, the Government of Khyber Pakhunkhwa granted the Charter of City University of Science & Information Technology, Peshawar on 30th August, 2001.  The foundation stone of the new campus was laid by the Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa  on 19th May, 2005 at Dalazak Road.  Six Convocations were held to award degrees to the successful students who graduated in different fields.
The Vision of the University (CUSIT)  is “To make City University nationally and internationally recognized as a premier University with a global perspective that produces leaders and professionals who will contribute to the betterment of the society; a University whose name stands synonymous to excellence, quality in teaching, research and whose graduates stand out among competitors”.
The Mission of City University is also commendable which is “To advance knowledge, deliver affordable education, and provide conducive learning environment of internationally recognized stature in science, technology and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the humanity”.

The objectives of City University are listed below:

To sustain and enhance the quality in teaching and research through recruitment of highly skilled faculty, student and staff.
To be a leader in the creation and synthesis of knowledge for the benefit of current and future generation.
To continuously improve the quality of educational programs in order to attain a level of academic and professional excellence comparable with international institutes of  repute.
To continuously improve the quality of academic research and support programs through conducive and holistic environment.
To continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the management and administrative services that support the University mission.
To educate the students to:
Become effective, responsible and articulate members of the complex society in which they live as well as in their chosen professions or occupations.
Become more competent in analytical thought, informed judgment and effective communication.
Develop a respect for rationality, a tolerance for ambiguity and an appreciation of diversity.
Explore the unfamiliar and use intellect in the process of discovery.
Enhance their imagination, sensibility and creative talent.
